Time to invest in Bellevue and the Eastside?

A recent article (subscription required) by Marc Stiles from Puget Sound Business Journal reports more and more businesses are now thinking of moving from Seattle to the Eastside.

According to the article, commercial brokerages like the Broderick Group have been getting inquiries from “smaller professional service firms and sole proprietors in Seattle that want to move to the Eastside due in large part to the $200 million-plus annual corporate payroll tax that the city council recently approved.”

Based on latest information from City of Bellevue website, there are close to three dozens of planned and potential projects for commercial and residential development around the downtown Bellevue area - either in review, under construction or in pipeline phases.

Buyers are always looking for neighborhoods with better schools and more expansive living spaces for families. Along with the opening of ST3 Link Light Rail in 2023/2024 connecting downtown Seattle eastward to Bellevue downtown, Spring District, Overlake and Redmond downtown - we expect demands for residential homes overall on the Eastside will continue to soar.
